John Doran

John Doran has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. John is currently working as the SVP Head of Business Transformation at Liberty Bank in CT since October 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Retail Lending Transformation at the same company from September 2021 to October 2023.

Before joining Liberty Bank, John worked at Webster Bank as the VP Continuous Improvement from February 2015 to August 2021. Here, they were responsible for business process re-engineering and intelligent automation programs.

John also has experience as a Vice President at Hobbs | Madison, Inc., where they served as an operations and technology strategy consultant for clients in the banking, insurance, and healthcare industries from 2013 to 2015.

John has held leadership positions at CIGNA Healthcare as the Director of National & Regional Customer Contact Centers from 2011 to 2013, and at RBS Citizens as the SVP Head of Contact Center Operations & Support from 2008 to 2011.

In addition, John has worked at The Hartford as an AVP in the Information Technology Sourcing Office and as an AVP in the Lean Six Sigma Program. At GE Capital, they served as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and as a Lead IT Vendor Manager. John also held the role of Six Sigma Black Belt - Information Technology.

John's career began in the US Navy as a Naval Aviator/Pilot (F14) from 1990 to 1995. John later transitioned into management roles, including Facilities Manager/Construction Contracts Manager and Operations Manager/IT Systems Manager for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Five.

Overall, John Doran has a wealth of experience in various industries, specializing in business process improvement, operations management, and technology strategy. John has demonstrated expertise in driving organizational change and transforming cultures towards a customer-focused approach.

John Doran attended the United States Naval Academy from 1989 to 1990, where they obtained a BS degree in Systems Engineering. John also holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt from GE and The Hartford, as well as a PMP certification from PMI.
