Richard R. Green

Dr. Richard Green has been a director of Liberty Broadband Corporation since November 2014. Green has served as a director of Liberty Global plc and its predecessors since December 2008. He has also served as a director of Shaw Communications, Inc., a telecommunications company based in Canada, since 2010. Green serves as a director of Jones/NCTI, a Jones Knowledge Company, which is a workforce performance solutions company for individuals and broadband companies. He is former Chairman of the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colorado. He is a Professor of Engineering and Director of the Center of Technology and Innovation at University of Denver.

Green is the former President and CEO of CableLabs®. Before joining CableLabs, Green served as an executive for three television networks, ABC, CBS, and PBS. In 2012, Green received an Emmy for Lifetime Achievement from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for technical contributions to television. He is also a member of the Cable Television Hall of Fame.
