Heather L. Stearns

Heather L. Stearns has extensive work experience in various leadership positions. Heather L. is currently the President of State Markets at LIBERTY Dental Plan. Before that, they served as the President of LIBERTY Dental Plan of Florida, Inc. from November 2019 to April 2023. Prior to their roles at LIBERTY Dental Plan, Heather was the Vice President of Government Relations at the company from February 2018 to November 2019. Heather L. also gained valuable experience as the Chief of Staff at the Florida Department of Children and Families from February 2017 to February 2018. Heather held multiple positions at the Executive Office of the Governor, including Special Counsel to the Chief Inspector General, Deputy General Counsel, and Assistant General Counsel from May 2016 to February 2017, June 2013 to May 2016, and October 2012 to June 2013, respectively. Heather L. began their career as the General Counsel at the Florida Division of Emergency Management from June 2011 to October 2012.

Heather L. Stearns completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Miami, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Heather L. then pursued their J.D. degree from Florida State University College of Law from 1999 to 2002.
