Margie Mergen

Margie Mergen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Margie started their career at NILS Publishing as an Acquisitions Associate Editor, where they conducted research and wrote bill summaries for the NILS search engine. Margie then worked at SafeGuard Dental and Vision as a Proposal Analyst, responsible for preparing proposals and meeting strict deadlines. Margie later joined SafeGuard Dental and Vision/Metlife as a Communications Specialist, handling writing projects and quality control. Margie then moved on to SafeGuard Health Enterprises, Inc. as a Creative Services Supervisor, managing a team of graphic artists and providing quality control for marketing projects. Margie joined BEST Life as a Marketing Communications Coordinator, where they developed and copywrote marketing materials and managed social media activity. Margie then became the Marketing Communications Director at BEST Life, overseeing the marketing department and managing product development. Margie also worked as a Compliance Analyst at BEST Life, drafting contracts and ensuring regulatory compliance. Currently, they are working at LIBERTY Dental Plan, where they have held various roles including Account Manager, Director of Account Management, and Assistant Vice President Marketplace Exchanges. In these roles, they have developed and implemented exchange products, managed client accounts, and ensured compliance with ACA mandates. Margie has a strong background in marketing, communications, compliance, and project management.

Margie Mergen started their education by obtaining a High School Diploma from Centennial High School in an unspecified year. In 1996, they pursued a Bachelors degree in Creative Writing & Business Administration from the University of Judaism, which they completed in the year 2000. In 2004, Margie earned a Certificate in Marketing from UC Irvine. Following this, in 2012, they obtained another Certificate, this time in Paralegal studies, from California State University San Marcos.

Additionally, Margie gained certification as a Resident Insurance Producer for Accident and Health, Life. This certification was obtained from the California Department of Insurance in October 2013.
