Prasanta Kumar Mishra

Prasanta Kumar Mishra has extensive work experience in the steel industry. Prasanta Kumar is currently the Managing Director of LIBERTY Galați. Previously, they served as the Executive Director of LIBERTY Galati & Skopje, overseeing two plants with a combined annual turnover exceeding $1 million.

Prior to this, Mishra worked at stalliongroup_nigeria as the CEO of the Steel Business and also held positions as Director in PSML Board and Vice Chairman of the Turkey Steel Plant. Prasanta Kumar played a crucial role in managing an integrated steel plant and mines, overseeing acquisitions, asset transfers, and business planning.

Mishra also has experience working at Aditya Birla Group as the Jt President and Unit Head of Hindalco in Belgaum. In this role, they were responsible for the unit's P&L, strategic decision-making, supply chain optimization, and customer satisfaction.

Before joining Aditya Birla Group, Mishra worked at Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. as the Asst. Vice President of Steel. Prasanta Kumar was accountable for managing a 3 million ton steel plant and handled various responsibilities including cost control, manpower rationalizing, and planning business targets and expenditures.

Earlier in their career, Mishra held positions at ArcelorMittal Europe as the Director/General Manager of Projects and at Jindal Stainless as the Dy. General Manager of Projects.

Mishra began their career at Steel Authority of India Limited, where they worked for sixteen years and handled projects related to steel melting, continuous casting, and commissioning of a twin-strand caster at the Bokaro Steel Plant.

Prasanta Kumar Mishra's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, which they obtained from 1985 to 1989. Prasanta Kumar also completed an MBA in Finance, specializing in PGDIM, from the Indira Gandhi National Open University between 1998 and 2001. Most recently, in 2019, they participated in the Management Programme at Harvard Business School, focusing on Disruptive Business Strategy. Prasanta Kumar is currently enrolled in another Management Programme at Harvard Business School, concentrating on Sustainable Business Strategy.
