Sachin Surajbali

Sachin Surajbali has a wide range of experience in the information technology field. Sachin started their career as an IT Technician at First National Bank in South Africa in 2000. From there, they worked as a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer at Mikros Traffic Monitoring for three years before moving on to Synergy Computing, Inc. as a Systems Engineer. In 2009, Sachin joined FirstRand group as a Virtual Infrastructure Engineer, and in 2006, they joined Investec Bank as a Senior Microsoft Exchange & Active Directory Engineer. Sachin's longest tenure was at Liberty Group South Africa, where they held the positions of Head of IT Security and Chief Information Security Officer, starting in 2012 and 2019 respectively.

Sachin Surajbali has a diverse education history. In 1997 to 1998, they attended PC Training and Business School, where they obtained a Diploma in Business Information Technology. This program focused on business administration, management, and operations.

In 2002, Sachin attended Torque-IT to pursue their MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification. Sachin then went on to attend Bytes Technology Group in 2003 and obtained their MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) certification. In 2006, they returned to Bytes Technology Group to earn their MCBDA (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) certification.

In 2014, Sachin earned the IT Service Management Foundations certification from Foster Melliar. This training focused on IT service management principles.

In 2017, Sachin pursued IT security certifications. Sachin attended Performanta Academy, where they completed the IT Security program. Sachin also obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)². Additionally, they earned the CISM certification from ISACA.

In 2018, Sachin returned to Performanta Academy to further enhance their knowledge in IT security.

Most recently, in 2021, Sachin obtained the Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) certification from ISACA.
