Amy Benson

Amy Benson has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Amy started their career at The University of Iowa Health Care as a Clinical Pharmacist from 1994 to 1997. Amy then moved on to Liberty Hospital, where they held various roles such as Clinical Coordinator, Director of Pharmacy, and Interim Pulmonary/Neurodiagnostics Director. Amy also served as an Interim Assistant Administrator and Interim Director in various departments at Liberty Hospital. In 1997, they also started working at UMKC as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor and continued until 2015. Recently, they were involved with the Missouri Society of Health System Pharmacy as the Chair of the Public Policy Committee from 2017 to 2018.

Amy Benson earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D.) from Creighton University from 1988 to 1994. Amy later obtained a Master of Health Administration from Simmons College - Simmons School of Management from 2012 to 2014.
