Joy Buno has extensive work experience in the finance and administration sector. Joy began their career at AFA in 2009 as the Head of Finance and Administration, a position they held until 2017. In 2017, they joined Liberty Life Botswana, where they initially served as the Head of Finance. Currently, they hold the role of Acting Managing Director at Liberty Life Botswana, a position they assumed in October 2021.
Joy Buno has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Botswana, completed from 1998 to 2002. Joy then pursued their Chartered Professional degree in Accounting and Business/Management at ACCA from 2006 to 2010. In 2015, they obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College. The same year, they enrolled in the University of Derby and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General in 2016. In that same year, they also achieved another Postgraduate certificate in Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College.
