Jonathan Bonar

Jonathan Bonar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 1997, they worked at Liberty University as an Assistant to the Chancellor/Legal Assistant/Financial Manager, where they assisted Dr. Jerry Falwell in various administrative tasks and also served as the Financial Manager of Jerry Falwell Ministries. Jonathan then moved on to Christ Fellowship Church in 2001, where they worked as a Special Assistant to the Senior Pastor. In 2002, they became the Senior Pastor at Life Church of Upper Marlboro, MD. In 2007, they joined Christ Fellowship Church again, this time as the Campus Pastor for the Royal Palm campus. In 2016, they took on multiple roles at Christ Fellowship Church, serving as the Director of the School of Biblical Leadership and the Director of Multisite Leadership Development. In 2020, they became the Senior Pastor at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Currently, they are the Director of Strategic Engagement at Liberty University, a position they have held since 2023. Overall, Jonathan Bonar has a wealth of experience in leadership development, pastoral roles, and strategic engagement.

Jonathan Bonar completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University from 1994 to 1997. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Religion from the same institution, which they completed from 1997 to 2008.
