Ali Shahmalak

Ali Shahmalak, CFA, currently serves as Senior Manager of Corporate Finance (FP&A) at both Liberty and Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. Since 2020, Ali has held managerial roles in corporate development and mergers and acquisitions at Westland Insurance Group Ltd., and previously contributed to corporate development at Parkland Fuel Corporation. Earlier experiences include managerial positions at EY and KPMG, as well as a Private Equity Associate role at Bank Alfalah Limited. A graduate of the University of Rochester with an MBA in Finance and Corporate Accounting, Ali also completed the CFA Program and holds an honors degree in Mathematics and Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences. Early in the career, Ali functioned as a Teaching Assistant for advanced finance courses.
