Vasilj Pupovac

Vasilj Pupovac has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Vasilj began their career as a Professor Assistant at the University of Belgrade, where they taught Electronics and Automation classes and designed a hardware and software solution for meteorological RF radiosonde signal reception. Vasilj then worked at ZOX Inc. as a Team Lead - System Analyst, contributing to the design and development of software modules and IT infrastructure.

After that, they joined NBS Technologies as a Senior Software Developer, followed by their role as Cofounder and CEO of Apolune Inc., a company focused on providing an integrated Issues/Incident tracking solution. In this position, they presented the product at the 2004 Eclipse conference and received accolades.

Later on, Pupovac joined Canada Life as a Team Lead - System Consultant, leading a team in architecting and delivering a front-end Insurance Claim data entry application. Vasilj also worked on Investment solutions and Insurance data entry systems.

Next, they joined NRX Global as a Business/Technical Architect, leading the development team in redesigning a Business Process Management platform. Vasilj also served as a Development Manager, overseeing teams in Australia and Europe and delivering an SAP Plant Maintenance app.

Pupovac then worked at HubHead Corp as a Solutions Architect, where they designed SAP solutions and strategies for clients in the Energy, Manufacturing, and Transportation sectors. Vasilj also led the Client services consulting team and a development team in redesigning a BPM platform.

Following that, they worked at 407 ETR as an Enterprise Architect, Director IT, and Director of Innovation and Enterprise Architecture. In these roles, they led various initiatives in areas such as ERP, CRM, Data and Analytics, Mobile, Web, BPM, CIAM, and HRMS. Vasilj also led the IT department through a successful go-live of a new Billing/CRM solution and evaluated different SaaS/PaaS solutions.

Finally, Pupovac joined Velocity Logic as an Enterprise Solutions Architect - Consultant, where they assessed the loyalty platform used by C-stores and gas stations. Vasilj also designed the transition to the AWS cloud and assessed integration, hosting, data layer, and PCI scope.

Currently, they are working at Liberty as the Lead Business Solution Architect.

Vasilj Pupovac completed a Master's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications at the University of Belgrade from 1989 to 1995. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Theoretical Physics from the same university in 1995. Vasilj has also achieved certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services in May 2023.
