Amber Wood has an extensive work experience in the field of compliance and regulation. Amber started their career in 2009 at Straumur-Burdaras Investment Bank hf as a Legal & Compliance professional. Amber then worked at Teathers, Straumur Investment Bank, and Singer Capital Markets Limited in various compliance roles. In 2012, they joined Cenkos Securities plc as Deputy Head of Compliance before moving to Puma Investments UK and Shore Capital as Head of Regulation and Compliance and Head of Compliance respectively. From 2019 to 2023, they served as Head of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) at Cenkos Securities plc. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Compliance at Liberum since 2023. In 2021, they also held the role of Deputy Chair for the Secondary Markets Expert Group at The Quoted Companies Alliance.
Amber Wood completed their BSc in Psychology from the Open University between 2003 and 2007. Prior to that, they attended Lady Eleanor Holles School, although the duration and degree obtained are unknown.
