Sue Considine

Sue Considine is currently an advisor at Library Systems & Services, LLC. Prior to that, they were councilor at large for the New York Library Association from January 2011 to November 2015. Before that, they were the executive director of the Fayetteville Free Library from May 2001 to August 2018. In this role, they oversaw all facets of daily operations including finance, HR, programming, and facilities management. Sue also spearheaded a strategic marketing campaign to build public enthusiasm for the library expansion, and secured over $3.6M through grants, corporate, and foundation contributions.

A few of their key accomplishments during their time as executive director include establishing the first public library makerspace in the world, overseeing the $3M relocation and expansion of the 96-year-old library, and facilitating unparalleled growth through the establishment of a long-term predictable funding plan.

Sue Considine is currently a PhD student in Organizational Leadership at Carolina University. Previously, they obtained their MLS in Library and Information Science from the University at Albany, SUNY. Sue also holds certifications from Cornell University in Strategic Human Resources Leadership and from the New York State Department of Education in Public Librarian Certificate.
