Carmen Chen has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Carmen began their career as a Legal Researcher at Thomas Philip, Advocates & Solicitors and later worked as a Virtual Intern at Bright Network, where they gained insight into commercial law and conducted research on arbitration and litigation. Carmen then completed a Virtual Vacation Scheme at White & Case LLP, where they sat in on negotiations, prepared reports, and reviewed intellectual property cases. Carmen also had a Summer Vacation Scheme at Wong & Partners, a member firm of Baker McKenzie International, where they rotated between different departments and conducted research on trade wars and import duties. Carmen's experience also includes positions as a Legal Apprentice at Brickfields Asia College, a Legal Intern at Trowers & Hamlins, a Student Blogger at Queen's University Belfast, and an Open Evening participant at A&L Goodbody. Currently, they are working as a Legal Engineer at Libryo, an ERM Group Company, where they are responsible for reviewing legal provisions and conducting research on regulatory updates. Throughout their career, Carmen has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a passion for the legal field.

Carmen Chen's education history begins in 2013 when they attended SM All Saints and obtained their High School Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM). In 2015, they enrolled at Institut Sinaran for their Pre-University studies, focusing on Cambridge A-Levels. From 2016 to 2019, Carmen pursued their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at Queen's University Belfast. Carmen then proceeded to Brickfields Asia College, where they pursued a Certificate of Legal Practice Candidate from 2019 to 2021.

In 2022, Carmen Chen attended Queen's University Belfast once again, this time obtaining a Master of Laws (LLM) with Technology degree, which they completed in 2023. Throughout their educational journey, Carmen earned various additional certifications. These include becoming an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia through the Malaysian Bar in July 2022, obtaining a Certificate in Legal Practice from the Legal Profession Qualifying Board Malaysia (LPQB) in August 2021, and attaining certifications in Legal Analysis, Legal Editing, and Legal Writing from Libryo in November 2020. Carmen also completed an internship as a Commercial Intern at Bright Network in July 2020. Additionally, they obtained the Degree Plus certification from Queen's University Belfast in June 2019 and the LCCI LEVEL 2 certification from LCCI I in December 2014.
