Gioele Vaia

Gioele Vaia is an experienced logistics professional currently serving as Head of Logistics - Engineering and Technology at Lidl Italia since April 2013. In this role, Gioele defines the logistics strategy, plans new RDC openings, and develops WMS and automation solutions to enhance efficiency. Previously, Gioele held the position of Head of Logistics - Operation and directed various warehouse hubs, overseeing budgeting, external supplier negotiations, and operational procedures. Gioele's background includes project management in logistics operations and a two-year international trainee program at Lidl, alongside earlier experience as a Store Area Manager at Decathlon Italia Srl and internships in business consulting and tax compliance. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance from Cà Foscari Venice University, complemented by a high school diploma in Economics and Programming.
