Coleman Ruiz

Coleman Ruiz has a diverse work experience spanning from 1998 to the present. Coleman began their career as a U.S. Naval SEAL Officer in the US Navy, serving from 1998 to 2011. Following their military service, they worked as the Executive Director of Carry the Load from October 2011 to June 2012. In 2013, Ruiz joined CrossLead as a Manager, focusing on fostering relationships and leadership skills. Coleman then served as President of Immediate Response Technologies from 2014 to 2016, where they led the design and manufacturing of protection and life support products for various customers. From 2017 to 2018, Ruiz worked as the President of TechOps Specialty Vehicles. In 2019, they became a Senior Fellow at the United States Naval Academy, focusing on ethical leadership issues. Coleman also served as the Board Chair for Team Red, White & Blue starting in October 2020. Ruiz's most recent role is as the Chief Operating Officer of Lids, where they oversee the operations of the largest licensed sports retailer in North America. Coleman also currently serves as an Operating Partner at Ames Watson since February 2022.

Coleman Ruiz attended the United States Naval Academy from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. Coleman later pursued further education at the Naval Postgraduate School from 2003 to 2005, obtaining an MBA with a focus on Government School of Business and Public Policy. In addition, they spent one year at the Naval Postgraduate School from 2003 to 2004, although it is unspecified whether they earned a degree or field of study during that time.
