Iván ÁLVAREZ is an experienced project manager and engineer with a focus on alternative fueled internal combustion engines, currently employed at Liebherr Group since May 2017. Transitioning to project management in early 2021, Iván leads efforts to develop Low/Zero Emission solutions utilizing fuels such as hydrogen and ammonia. Previously served as a development engineer, managing combustion testing and optimization, as well as innovation engineering for diesel engines, emphasizing performance and emission reductions. Early career experience includes R&D internships at Groupe PSA and Groupe Renault, where Iván contributed to powertrain systems and exhaust performance evaluation. Iván holds a Master of Science in Energy and Environment Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
