Taryn Black

Taryn Black serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Life Ed Qld since April 2025 and has extensive experience in health and diabetes advocacy. Previously, Taryn held non-executive director roles at both the Australian Diabetes Educators Association and the Australian Diabetes Society between February 2024 and March 2025. From July 2015 to March 2025, Taryn was the Chief Strategy Officer and National Program Director for initiatives such as KeepSight and Diabetes in Schools at Diabetes Australia. Additionally, Taryn was the Chief Operations Officer at Diabetes Queensland from June 2008 to June 2015, overseeing strategy, brand building, and policy development. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Senior Policy Advisor for the Queensland Government and a Political Advisor for the Victorian Government. Taryn holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Politics from Curtin University.
