Maggie Leyes

Maggie Leyes has a long history of professional experience in the field of digital storytelling. Maggie began their career as the Managing Editor of Advisor Today Magazine in 2001, where they were responsible for day-to-day operations and oversight of monthly, for-profit magazine and digital products, and managing the staff that produced them. Maggie then moved on to Executive Editor in English for internet startup, Divina.com in 2000. Following this, they worked as a Freelance Editor/Writer at their own firm from 2008. Most recently, they have been the Chief Creative Officer at Life Happens, a nonprofit organization since 2013. At Life Happens, they lead the creative team in developing and implementing creative, innovative, digital storytelling that moves people to take action.

Maggie Leyes is currently enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, in December 2020, they obtained a certification in Leading for Creativity from IDEO U.
