Kevin Hagedorn has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Kevin founded Life Magnetics in 2013, where they developed a carbon-based coating to stabilize RNA for shipping and storage. In 2014, they worked as an Optical Engineer/Staff Scientist at SurClean, focusing on developing an automated laser coating removal process. This process was more efficient, precise, and safer for workers compared to traditional methods. From 2010 to 2013, Kevin worked as a Staff Scientist at IMRA America, where they developed applications for ultrafast laser micromachining and evaluated the performance of noble metal nanoparticles in detecting biomarkers.
Kevin Hagedorn completed their Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan in 2005. Kevin majored in Honors Chemistry and also pursued a dual degree in Biochemistry. Following this, they continued their education at the University of Michigan and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Chemistry in 2010.
