Matthew Trifilo has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Matthew is currently the Vice President and Head of Medical Affairs at Life Molecular Imaging since 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Medical Director at Travere Therapeutics from 2018 to 2021. Before that, they held various roles at Avanir Pharmaceuticals, including Medical Director, Field Director of Medical Affairs, and Senior Medical Science Liaison from 2014 to 2018. From 2012 to 2014, they served as the Global Director of Medical Affairs at Terumo BCT. Matthew also worked as an Associate Director of Scientific Communications at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan) from 2010 to 2012 and as a Medical Science Liaison at Forest Research Institute from 2006 to 2010. Their work experience started with a Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute from 2003 to 2006.
Matthew Trifilo completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from UC San Diego, which took place from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, from 1999 to 2003, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroimmunology from UC Irvine.
