The purpose of the association is to promote collaboration between art, architecture, academic research and business, with the aim of creating an urban environment conducive to imagination and creativity.

At centre of its activities is The Life on a Leaf house in Hirvensalo, Turku. The building is Jan-Erik Andersson’s boundary-breaking total-art-work, designed in collaboration with architect Erkki Pitkäranta. The building works today as an artist and researcher residency.
