Following this, they attended the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine from 1974 to 1978, focusing on Aerospace Medicine and earning a degree in Flight Surgeon. Moving forward, from 1978 to 1980, they enrolled in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in Internal Medicine. Lastly, from 1981 to 1983, they pursued a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), furthering their expertise in this field.
