Elizabeth Holt, MD, FACE has extensive work experience in the medical field. Elizabeth is currently the Head of Global Medical, Clinical, and Safety at LifeScan since October 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Director of Medical Affairs at Intarcia Therapeutics, Inc. from December 2019 to April 2020. From May 2017 to December 2019, they served as the Director on the Board of Directors at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). Elizabeth also worked as an Endocrinologist at Raleigh Endocrine Associates, a self-employed role, from January 1992 to December 2019. Additionally, they served as the President of the Carolinas Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists from August 2010 to August 2012.

Elizabeth Holt, MD, FACE completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Elizabeth then pursued a fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Zoology from Duke University. Following their education, Dr. Holt completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital from 1986 to 1989. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including "RAPS Member" from the Regulatory Affairs Certification Program in 2019 and is a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology (FACE), which they acquired in 2000. Elizabeth is also certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
