David Helliwell has extensive experience in the healthcare and technology sectors, currently serving as a Board Member for VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and Life Sciences BC, as well as Co-Founder and Executive Board Chair of Thrive Health, which focuses on integrating well-being in healthcare delivery. As a mentor at Creative Destruction Lab, David supports health tech startups globally. David’s past roles include Advisory Board Member for National Research Council IRAP, and VP of Utility Solutions at EnerNOC following its acquisition of Pulse Energy, where David was Co-Founder and CEO. Additional experience includes judging the BC Healthcare Awards and serving as Director of Policy to Cabinet Minister Stephen Owen for the Government of Canada. David holds a BSc in Geophysics from The University of British Columbia, an MBA from École des Ponts Business School, and further education in Geophysics, Physics, and Astronomy from Harvard University.
