Life Styles
A part-time position as Weekend Site Supervisor led John Newman down a path culminating in his appointment as executive director of Life Styles in 2016. Initially drawn by the opportunity to advocate for equal opportunity and full community access on behalf of people with disabilities, along the way John “fell in love with the people we serve, the selfless commitment of the staff who support them, and the family feel of the organization as a whole.” John’s total commitment to Life Styles and its mission and values are always on display—whether loading boxes onto his pickup for a client move or traveling to the state capitol in Little Rock to debate public health policy.
A graduate of the University of Arkansas, John has also worked at Tyson Foods and he serves on the boards of the Fayetteville High School Hall of Greats and the NWA CEO Forum.
