Cornelia Roesl has extensive experience in the fields of biochemistry and motor neurone disease (MND) research, currently serving as a Business Manager at LifeArc since January 2019. In this role, responsibilities include managing the MND grant funding portfolio, mentoring Technology Transfer fellows, and leading diagnostic initiatives related to MND/ALS, which encompass forming collaborations, stakeholder management, and reviewing funding applications. Previously, Cornelia held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh, where contributions focused on early detection methods for MND and developing a non-surgical sterilant for animals. Cornelia possesses robust laboratory and managerial experience, including expertise in molecular biology techniques and project management. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. from Massey University and a Master’s Degree from Leibniz Universität Hannover.
