Deborah Harland

Deborah Harland is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in the life sciences sector. Currently serving as an Independent Investment Committee Member at British Patient Capital since May 2023, Deborah also holds roles as an Advisor and Venture Partner at SR One Capital Management, where involvement dates back to September 2005, and as Chair of the Early Ventures Investment Committee at LifeArc since October 2022. Previously, Deborah served on multiple boards as a Non-Executive Director for organizations, including VHsquared Limited, Cancer Research Horizons, Asceneuron SA, MISSION Therapeutics, MiroBio Ltd, and f-star GmbH. In addition, significant experience was gained at SR One (GlaxoSmithKline Venture Capital Group) as a Partner from April 2009 to September 2020. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Henley Business School, a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of London, and a B.Sc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Bath.
