Pete Gardner

Pete Gardner is a highly experienced professional in the field of immunology and infectious diseases, currently serving as the Scientific Director for Global Health at LifeArc. Responsibilities include strategizing and delivering investments aimed at combating infectious diseases and fostering innovation to enhance global access and affordability. Previously, Pete has held significant roles at the Wellcome Trust, including Research Lead for Antibodies & Immunity, overseeing a £18M investment portfolio, and Innovations Associate, leading vaccine research investments. Additional experience includes managing a £250M Infectious Disease programme, serving as a Fellow at the Royal Society of Biology, and contributing to academia as an Honorary Lecturer at City, University of London. Pete holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from UCL and a B.Sc. in Biology from Imperial College London.
