Julia Mason

Julia Mason is the current Director at Lifebanc. Julia has over twenty years of experience in the health care industry, with a focus on nursing and operations management. Julia has a proven track record of success in improving patient outcomes and increasing operational efficiency.

Julia began their career as a Clinical Nurse at Southwest General Health Center in 1999. In this role, they provided direct patient care and developed a strong foundation in nursing practice. In 2010, they transitioned to University Hospitals Ahuja Medical Center as a Clinical Operations Manager. In this role, Julia was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the medical center, including overseeing the nursing staff and coordinating patient care. Julia was instrumental in improving patient satisfaction scores and reducing length of stay.

In 2013, Julia was promoted to RN Manager at UH Ahuja Medical Center. In this role, they oversaw a 36-bed medical-surgical unit and was responsible for quality metrics, patient experience, and staff development. Julia successfully implemented a shared governance model that improved communication and teamwork among the staff. Under their leadership, the unit achieved excellent clinical outcomes and high patient satisfaction scores.

In 2015, Julia was recruited by University Hospitals of Cleveland to serve as their Chief Nursing Officer for Regional Hospitals. In this role, they were responsible for the nursing staff at all of the UH regional hospitals. Julia successfully reduced length of stay and improved patient satisfaction scores across the system.

In 2016, Julia was recruited by The MetroHealth System to serve as their Chief Nursing Officer. In this role, they were responsible for the nursing staff at all of the MetroHealth hospitals. Julia successfully reduced length of stay and improved patient satisfaction scores across the system.

In 2019, Julia left MetroHealth to join Vocera Communications as their Senior Clinical Executive. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of the company. Julia is an expert in nursing and healthcare operations, and they are passionate about improving patient care.

Julia Mason has a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master's in Business Administration with a Healthcare/Leadership concentration from Baldwin Wallace University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Leadership from The Ohio State University. Julia also has a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification in Operations Management and Supervision from Kent State University.
