Aurel Ymeti

Aurel Ymeti is a seasoned expert in applied nanotechnology, currently serving as a Senior Project Leader/Manager at the Applied Nanotechnology Research Group since 2019, where Ymeti leads multidisciplinary molecular sensing technology projects. In parallel, Aurel acts as a Senior Lecturer at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, teaching courses in photonics and optics. As Co-Founder and CEO of NanoAlmyona B.V. since 2008, Ymeti focuses on research and technology development in high-tech systems and materials. Additional roles include Visiting Associate Professor at Universiteti Politeknik i Tiranës, Advisory Board Member for the Lifeboat Foundation, and former R&D Director at Ostendum. Aurel's extensive background encompasses significant research contributions, including portable diagnostic devices and Lab-on-a-Chip technologies, supported by a PhD in Applied Physics/Nanotechnology from the University of Twente.
