Craig J. Carmichael

Craig J. Carmichael is the president of Northwest Hospital and SVP of LifeBridge Health at LifeBridge Health. Craig has held this position since March 2020.

Previously, Carmichael served as the corporate vice president of operations and associate performance improvement officer at the University of Maryland Medical System from December 2012 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the system's cancer institute, surgical services, information technology, cardiographics, imaging, laboratory, respiratory, pulmonary, sleep lab services, pharmacy, supply chain, environmental services, plant facilities and construction, food and nutritional services, and transport services.

Before their time at the University of Maryland Medical System, Carmichael served as the vice president of operations at St Joseph Medical Center for Catholic Health Initiatives from March 2006 to November 2012. In this role, they oversaw the cancer institute, surgical services, information technology, cardiographics, imaging, laboratory, respiratory, pulmonary, sleep lab services, pharmacy, supply chain, environmental services, plant facilities and construction, food and nutritional services, and transport services.

Carmichael began their career in 1986 as a manager at Ernst & Young. Craig left the company in 1993 to become the vice president of finance at Citizens Bank. Craig held this position until 1998 when they became the vice president of operations at St Mary's for Ascension Health. Craig held this position until 2006 when they took on their role at St Joseph Medical Center.

Craig J. Carmichael has an MBA in Finance from Towson University and a BA in Accounting & Business from Alma College. Craig is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
