Webster Guan

Webster Guan currently serves as the Director of Analytics and Data Science at LifeCanvas Technologies Inc., focusing on the development of SmartAnalytics image analysis software and light sheet microscopy post-processing tools. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Image Data Scientist, where Webster developed computer vision algorithms for large-scale 3D brain image analysis and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, contributing to projects on neural connectivity mapping and Alzheimer's disease detection. Additionally, Webster has held process engineering positions at Woodside Energy, Merck, and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, as well as research fellowships at Caltech and internships at Michigan State University and Northwestern University. Webster holds a Ph.D. and a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree from Caltech.
