Alwin Kong

As General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer and Corporate Secretary, Alwin is accountable for the delivery of effective legal and privacy services to support the growth of next-generation healthcare products. Alwin is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of key privacy and legal policies to comply with applicable regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions in which LifeLabs operates. He also provides support for the Board of Directors as the Corporate Secretary.

Prior to joining LifeLabs, Alwin served as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at the public health agency in Ontario while serving as Senior Counsel within Ministry of the Attorney. Alwin has worked in legal roles within financial services, P&C insurance and he started his legal career at Stikeman Elliott LLP.

Alwin received his MHSc. (Health Administration) from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto and his J.D. from the University of Windsor. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
