Maria Prato

Maria Prato is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in public information and media relations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at NJOHSP since October 2021, Maria previously held positions as a Public Information Officer at the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, Monroe Township, and Middlesex County Improvement Authority, focusing on press releases, media relations, web development, and community outreach. Maria began their career in journalism as a reporter at The Home News Tribune / Gannett and other publications, where skills in reporting, research, and deadline-oriented writing were honed. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Oklahoma.
