Landry Muhizi has worked as a Deputy Director in Charge of health Care at Rutovu District Hospital from September 2013 to March 2015. More recently, Muhizi has been employed at LifeNet International since March 2015. At LifeNet International, Muhizi has held the positions of Medical Program Manager, where they supervised a team of Nurse Trainers and oversaw the improvement of the quality of care offered to a significant patient volume, and currently serves as the Medical Director.
Landry Muhizi's education history begins in 2005 at Burundi National University, where they pursued a degree in Medicine. They obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2013. In 2017, they attended Makerere University and completed a Certificate in Humanitarian and Disaster Resilience Leadership, with a focus on the College of Health Sciences and School of Public Health. They concluded their education at Makerere University from 2021 to 2023, obtaining a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, specializing in Public Health.
