Shep Owen

Shep Owen has extensive work experience in the humanitarian and nonprofit sector. Shep is currently serving as the President of LifeNet International and previously held the role of Vice President Programs in the same organization. Prior to that, Shep served as an Advisory Board Member for Take Heart. Shep spent a significant portion of their career at Food for the Hungry, Inc., where they held various leadership positions, including Senior Director of Relief and Humanitarian Affairs and Senior Director of Partnerships. Shep also served as a Board Member for Millennium Water Alliance and as a Big Ideas Berkeley Judge for the RUDD FAMILY FOUNDATION. Before joining Food for the Hungry, Shep held the positions of Africa Regional Director at FH and Country Director at FH Kenya and Habitat for Humanity Tanzania. Shep's work experience highlights their strategic leadership, capacity building, and collaboration with international organizations.

Shep Owen completed their MSc in Public Policy and Management from SOAS University of London in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their BA in History from the University of Oklahoma in 1996.
