Sylvain "Sly" Cyr has extensive work experience in the medical field. Sylvain "Sly" started their career at Héma-Québec in 2000, holding various roles including Controlled Document Manager, Quality Assurance Specialist, Tissue Recovery Coordinator, Lead Tissue Processing Technician, and Validation Manager. In these positions, they implemented and managed validation programs, supervised teams, developed solutions for compliance with regulatory standards, and designed and executed validation protocols for equipment and processes. In 2006, Sylvain became the Director of Operations - Tissue Processing (Interim) at Héma-Québec. In 2007, they joined Lifesharing | A Donate Life Organization as the Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.
Sylvain "Sly" Cyr earned a BS in Medical Biology from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières from 1995 to 1998. Sylvain "Sly" also obtained additional certifications including Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) from the American Association of Tissue Banks and ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence from ASQ - World Headquarters in December 2007.
