Juan Merayo

Juan Merayo began their work experience as an Assistant Professor at Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra from 1998 to 2002. Juan then worked as an AP/CP Pathology Resident at Danbury Hospital from 2003 to 2008, where they trained in various areas of Anatomic and Clinical pathology. Following this role, they became a BB/TM Fellow at Hershey Medical Center from 2008 to 2009. Juan then served as the Blood Bank Director at Referencia Banco de Sangre from 2010 to 2012 before becoming the Medical Director at LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in 2012.

Juan Merayo has a diverse education history in the field of medicine. From 2008 to 2009, they attended Penn State College of Medicine as a Fellow, specializing in Blood Bank/Transfusion Medicine. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, they pursued their Residency and Fellowship at Yale University, focusing on Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Juan Merayo obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra from 1993 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Juan Merayo obtained a certification as a Certified Advanced Biotherapies Professional from Prolydian in December 2022.
