Mike Tan

Mike Tan has a diverse range of work experience. Mike is currently the Vice President of Global Business Development at LifeSpeak Inc., a role they started in December 2022. Mike is also a Mentor at The Forum since February 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Business Development at LIFT session, a LifeSpeak company, from June 2020 to December 2022.

Before joining LifeSpeak, Mike held the position of National Sales Director at Orangetheory Fitness from January 2017 to May 2020. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, operations, franchise support, and training system across Canada. Orangetheory Fitness is a global fitness franchise with numerous locations worldwide.

Mike began their career at Mansfield Athletic Club in 2009, where they held various roles including Vice President of Sales and Operations from July 2015 to December 2016, General Manager from August 2012 to July 2015, and Membership Representative from October 2009 to July 2012. Mike successfully sold more memberships than full-time employees by utilizing a daily production model and self-created lead management tools.

Mike also has experience as a self-employed individual at GMA Media from January 2007 to December 2009.

Mike Tan attended the University of Southern California from 2011 to 2012, where they pursued an undergraduate degree in Finance & Management. Prior to that, they studied at the John Molson School of Business from 2009 to 2011, completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Finance & Management. Before entering university, Mike attended Champlain Regional College from 2006 to 2009 and obtained a Cegep degree in Sports Marketing and Management. In addition to their formal education, Mike has pursued additional certifications in the field of finance and cryptocurrency. Mike completed courses such as "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)" from Coursera in March 2023, "Fundamentals of Bitcoin & Crypto, Cohort 10" from Pomp's Crypto Academy in January 2022, and "PRDV151: Bitcoin for Everybody" from Saylor Academy in December 2021.
