Dr. Kushal has held the role of Managing Director and Lead Psychiatrist at LifeSpring since January 2017. LifeSpring is a community-based institute focused on addressing the needs of individuals with mental illness and promoting mental health in Bangladesh. Dr. Kushal's responsibilities involve providing integrated care and treatment to those in need, with the goal of recovery.

Additionally, Dr. Kushal is the Chairman of Hope Autism Welfare Society, a organization founded in 2008 that aims to improve the lives of individuals with autism. They utilize the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) for the diagnosis and treatment of children with autism, providing services such as behavioral intervention, social skills training, and motor skills development.

Dr. Kushal has a diverse educational background in the field of medicine and psychiatry. Dr. completed their MBBS degree at Dhaka Medical College in 2010. Following that, they pursued a higher education at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Medical University, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with a specialization in psychiatry. Prior to their medical studies, Dr. Kushal completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C) at Notre Dame College in 2004, with a focus on Science. Dr. also earned a Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C) in Science from Engineering University Higher Secondary School in 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. Kushal gained further expertise through specialized training programs and fellowships. Dr. completed an Internship in Behavioural Neuroscience at NIPS in Okazaki, Japan, and became a Fellow of the Japanese Society of Psychiatry & Neurology, specializing in Psychiatry.

Dr. Kushal has also pursued additional certifications in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Dr. is a Life Member of the Bangladesh Association of Psychiatrists (BAP).
