Amft Tamara Catalano

Tamara Catalano, AMFT has a diverse range of work experience in the field of therapy and education. Tamara started their career as a Teacher at Gardena Christian Academy in 1999, and later became a Curriculum Specialist at Compton Unified School District from 2002 to 2007. Tamara then transitioned to Santa Paula Elementary School District, where they worked as a Literacy Coach from 2007 to 2009. Tamara then joined University Preparation Charter School as a Teacher from 2009 to 2020. In 2020, they started their journey in therapy as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at Ventura County Behavioral Health, until 2021. Tamara continued their therapy work at ELEVATION BEHAVIORAL HEALTH as a Primary Therapist from June to August 2021. Tamara then joined Stairway Resource Center as a Marriage and Family Therapist from August 2021 to July 2023. Currently, they are working as a Primary Therapist at Lifesync Malibu Healing Center, starting from July 2023.

Tamara Catalano, AMFT completed their Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General from San Diego State University in the period from 1992 to 1997. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University-Dominguez Hills from 2003 to 2005. More recently, from 2018 to 2021, Tamara completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
