Martin Simpson

Martin Simpson is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the education sector, currently serving as Director of Technology and Head Of Information Technology at Lift Schools since May 2020, overseeing technology and digital strategy for a multi-academy trust of 57 schools. Prior roles include Director of IT at the City of London Academies Trust, where strategic ICT policies were developed, and Head of IT Services at Community Schools Alliance Trust, where Martin managed IT infrastructure and services for over 2,000 end users. Previous experience includes serving as Network Manager at Aylesbury High School, leading a robust IT support team and developing a modern network for the institution. Martin holds a Master of Science in Digital Transformation from the University of Hull and a BSc in Computing & Networks from the University of Plymouth, complemented by foundational studies in Computer Networking from The Cornwall College Group.
