Sjoerd Butter

Sjoerd Butter is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sales and commercial management within the engineering and maritime sectors. Currently serving as Sales Manager at LiftOff since June 2025, Sjoerd previously held the position of Commercial Manager at Fugro from May 2018 to June 2025, where responsibilities included driving the commercialization of the Fugro Blue Robotics portfolio and overseeing marketing and communications. Sjoerd's background also features roles as a Business Consultant and Product Owner at Fugro, focusing on marine asset integrity and product strategy management, respectively. Prior to these positions, Sjoerd co-founded Fobuko, worked as a graduate intern at Heerema Marine Contractors, and engaged in project management as part of Project MARCH. Sjoerd holds a Master of Science in Offshore and Dredging Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, both from Delft University of Technology.
