Larry Zhou has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Larry is currently working at Liftoff Mobile as an Engineering Leader, where they manage the DSP team and assists in managing the Data Eng and Demand App teams. Prior to that, they worked at Facebook as a Software Engineer, focusing on Vertical Product Ads and Core Data Infra. Before that, Larry was the Founder/CEO & Chief Architect of eGenie, a SaaS platform for the clothing industry. Larry also served as the CEO of UPYUN, a cloud service provider in China, and worked as a Chief Architect/CTO at HiChina, an Internet infrastructure provider under Alibaba Group. Larry began their career at Google, where they worked on various projects related to infrastructure, AdWords, and Google System Tool. Larry also worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Intel Corporation, a Principal Software Engineer at ClearApp (acquired by Oracle), and an Architect and Manager of Compiler Development at SiliconNetsys, Inc. Larry's early career included working as a Software Design Engineer at Microsoft, where they designed and implemented the optimizer for the Hitachi Iapetus SHx compiler.

Larry Zhou completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanics at Peking University from 1981 to 1985. Larry then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science at Peking University from 1985 to 1987. Afterward, they attended both Pierre and Marie Curie University and Mines Paris, earning a PhD in Computer Science from each institution between 1991 and 1994. At Mines Paris, their PhD was specifically in the field of Centre de Recherche en Informatique.
