Carsten Hjort Bjerre is the founder of HJORT, a company established in 2017. Prior to this, they worked at Liftra Aps from 2008 onwards, holding various roles such as Director of Products, Sales Director for Southern Europe & South America, and Sales Manager. Carsten Hjort was responsible for business development, global sales, product development, production, and marketing. Carsten also served as an Advisory Board Member for the Danish Wind Export Association from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, they have had experience as a Business Owner at Myzto Ltd, in Business Development at Thomas AS, as a Key Account Manager at MTT-Maxim S.L, and in Project Management and Product Engineering at SFK Systems A/S.

Carsten Hjort Bjerre pursued their education in a variety of fields. In 1992, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Engineering College of Aarhus. Following this, they furthered their studies at Aalborg University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering during the period of 1996 to 1998. In 2014, Carsten attended INSEAD in Abu Dhabi to gain expertise in negotiation dynamics. In 2017, they also participated in a program called "Powering Growth" at INSEAD in Fontainebleau. Additionally, Carsten holds certifications unrelated to their formal education, such as a PADI Open Water certificate obtained in September 2016 from PADI and a Certificate of Proficiency in Yachting acquired in October 2015 from the Danish Maritime Authority.
