Svend Ottesen

Svend Ottesen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Svend currently holds the position of Head of Business Development at Liftra since 2022. Previously, they worked at Vestas for several years in various roles, including Chief Project Manager and Vice President. In these roles, they were responsible for leading transformation programs, implementing operating models, managing partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence. Prior to their tenure at Vestas, Svend worked as a Project Manager, Business Consultant, and Executive Management Assistant in different organizations. Additionally, they gained experience as a Childcare Assistant at DUS Østervang and as a Commis Waiter at the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa.

Svend Ottesen's education history is as follows:

From 1995 to 1998, they attended HTX Silkeborg and completed their high school education, focusing on subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Innovative Projectwork.

In 1999, they joined the Royal Danish Airforce and received training in the HAWK missile system as an Aircraftman.

In the year 2000, Svend enrolled at Aalborg University (AAU) and pursued a Master of Science in Engineering degree. During their studies at AAU, they focused on subjects such as Computer Engineering, Production, Management, Change Management, Leadership, and Programming. Svend completed their degree in 2005.

In 2005, Svend also attended Aarhus University - Institute of Business and Technology (AU-IBT) for a short period, where they studied topics related to Wind Power, Wind Energy, and Wind Technology.

In 2006, they furthered their education by attending Implement A/S, where they obtained a Project Manager certification. Through this program, they gained knowledge in Stakeholder, Risk and Schedule Management, Coaching, and Communication.

In the same year, Svend also received a Lead Auditor certification from QCS International Ltd. In this program, they gained expertise in Auditing and ISO standards.

In 2007, they participated in a program at Vestas Talent Development Centre, focusing on High Potential development.

In 2007 as well, Svend acquired the Six Sigma Operational Green Belt certification from BSI, which provided him with knowledge in the Six Sigma concept, Statistics, Vartran, and Minitab.

In 2008, they undertook training in Project Management, Visualisation, Graphic gameplan, and Reflection through Pathfinder.

In the same year, Svend also attended Skandinavisk Ledelse og Coaching to expand their knowledge in Business Consulting.

In 2010, they participated in the Change Leadership program at Vestas Business Academy.

In 2014, Svend attended Mentorix and obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation certification in Project Management.

In terms of formal degrees, Svend completed their Bachelor of Science at Aarhus School of Business (ASB) in 2013, where they studied Finance and Economics during their Part 1 studies.
