Joanna Ryan

Joanna Ryan has over 25 years of professional experience in various engineering roles. Joanna is currently working as a Firmware Engineer at LIFX since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Wahoo Fitness as a Firmware Engineer from August 2017 to December 2022. Before that, they were a Snr Firmware Developer at Nautics Engineering for 10 years from August 2007 to June 2017. Joanna also served as a Design Engineer at ELPRO Technologies from August 2004 to August 2007. Joanna started their career as a DSP Engineer at Bernafon Australia from April 2000 to May 2004. Joanna gained early experience as a Student Electronics Engineer at Cook Medical Australia from January 1995 to November 1995, where they worked on the development of a microcontroller-based device and high power amplifier for ultrasound techniques.

Joanna Ryan began their education in 1992 at Griffith University, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Microelectronic Engineering. Joanna completed their undergraduate studies in 1995. Subsequently, Joanna enrolled at the University of Melbourne in 1996 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicine, specializing in Otolaryngology, in 2000.
