Ashok Veeraraghavan

Ashok Veeraraghavan is a seasoned professional in electrical and computer engineering, currently serving as a Co-Founder at Synopic since March 2021. At Rice University, Ashok holds a longstanding academic position, progressing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor, and now Professor since July 2011. Additionally, Ashok has been a Technical Advisor at Light since January 2014 and served as an Advisor at LensBricks until January 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at MERL from August 2008 to July 2011 and a Visiting Researcher at the Australian National University in May 2005. Ashok earned a PhD and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
