Ed Ibe has over thirty years of work experience in the engineering field. Ed began their career in 1982 as an Electronics Engineer at NAS Alameda. Ed then moved to IBM ROLM Systems as a Functional Test Engineer in 1984. In 1989, they became an ASIC Design Engineer at 3Com Corp., where they designed statistics ASIC for ethernet hub and two port bridge projects. In 1999, they became the ASIC Manager at BitMicro Networks, and in 2001, they became the ASIC Manager/Design Engineer at Memetch SSD. In 2008, they became an Integration Engineer at Acuity Technologies, and in 2010, they became an FPGA Engineer at PhaseSpace, Inc. From 2011 to 2017, they were a Lead Hardware Engineer and Hardware Development Engineer for Lytro Firefly and ILLUM light field consumer cameras at Lytro Inc. In 2017, they became the VP Engineering and Co-founder at Light Field Lab, Inc.
Ed Ibe holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University.
